HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT (HCM) |
Human capital management (HCM) is a set of practices related to people resource management. Human Capital Management is primarily focused on the social aspect of ESG. It deals with the effective optimization of human capital. AlignESG offers two distinct areas of service around HCM.
The first is Training & Workshops around all things concerning people.
Training in sustainability, ESG, and DE&I (diversity, equity, and inclusion) and other related key topic are offered. These and other areas of HCM are often misunderstood. AlignESG does training and exercises that can explain these concepts and how they apply to business. This training is not done from a political perspective but from a corporate perspective by business executives that have lived the realities of how these issues permeate the business landscape.
Some people struggle to understand the difference between equality and equity. Still others question how a comment stated with good intention could be so troublesome to some stakeholders. The experts at AlignESG take the 'scary' out of the 'S' in ESG. We deliver training in the form of talks at brown bag lunches, board meetings, corporate outings, etc. These are generic topics usually done in half-hour or one-hour segments. They cover a whole range of topics as requested by clients.

The second area of HCM offerings is a focus on Resource Alignment.
At AlignESG, we work with companies and individuals to match human aspirations and talents with organizational needs and objectives. An important aspect of human capital management must be the ability to maximize human capital deployment to fully realize the true potential of the organization and the individuals that make it up.
A vast majority of positions in the workforce today did not exist when a large proportion of that workforce was being educated. So how does the use of rigid educational and career history requirements truly serve the needs of today's workforce and companies? Aspiration and inspiration are critical elements of success for individuals and organizations. Yet, since both are hard to quantify - it is assumed they can't be leveraged. |
Resource Alignment adds that element of the non-tangible into the process. How much talent is hiding behind a resume? Unlock the power of aspiration and innovation.
Resource Alignment is what is referred to in some of the more traditional markets as recruiting. There is retained search, contingency search, online recruiting, and many more traditional models. These methods are not aligned with or focused on company needs, candidates' desires and strengths, and organizational alignment. At AlignESG, a need is identified by the client or as a result of the execution phase on a Market Engagement Optimization or Energy Transition engagement. The need is then thoughtfully understood by the client and AlignESG. Culture and fit are also assessed. |
And then candidates that might be a good fit are identified. The screening process involves the critical aspect of 'can a candidate do the job' and 'is this a core strength, and is the candidate passionate about the role.' The interview process is more about the cultural fit and ideology alignment with the hiring manager and team.
Resource Alignments Services makes the onboarding of a new team member much more effective, faster, and much less expensive. The outcomes of Resource Alignment are far better than the old-fashioned recruiting model. Resource Alignment Services: Aligning Human Aspirations & Talents with Organizational Needs & Objectives |
